A view of the channel markers sitting on dry dock in Clayton.
Today Emma went to the Handweaving Museum and Arts Center here in Clayton for a lesson on the pottery wheel. There were three students there and they were making clay mugs. Next week they will make the handles and glaze them.
Here she is concentrating on what she is doing. She did a nice job at making a bowl shape for the mug. This was her second piece that she made.

Boy!!! Miss Emma...they sure know how to keep you busy and out of trouble! As for the pottery!! Good job you will be well advanced before you get to high school where you will learn much bigger and better projects! I can't wait to see them finished!
ReplyDeleteShe went back and finished them yesterday. She put tails on as a handle and 4 little paws. There is also a cat face and painted it black. SHe told me that she made food and water dishes for Doc.
ReplyDeleteI love the blog Betty...I stole a picture of Emma for my blog so my friends can keep up with her....they all feel as though they know her from all the Emma stories!!
